This is the first electric guitar that I built. The wood that I used is Mahogany. The scale length for the neck is based on Gibson's Les Paul - 24 3/4 inches. The body thickness is only 1 1/2 inches, which is thinner than a Les Paul. Whenever people pick it up, their first comment is usually "Oh wow - its so light!". Its also well balanced.

The bridge is a Tune-o-matic bridge, and the pickups are my own / custom wound. They use Alnico 5 magnets, and  resistance of the pickups are: Neck: 8.2 K and the Bridge: 8.4 K.

The pickguard is based off  the "Joan Jett" version of Gibson's Melody Maker.  The pickguard was custom made for me by  Terrapin Guitars.
